UAE Overtime Pay Rules Explained
Under UAE Labor Law, employees are entitled to overtime pay if they work beyond the standard 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week. The calculation is based on the basic hourly rate.
Overtime Multipliers in the UAE:
- Normal Overtime: 125% of the basic hourly rate.
- Night Shift (10 PM to 4 AM): 150% of the basic hourly rate.
- Public Holidays/Weekends: 200% of the basic hourly rate (or a substitute day off).
